Snow tires?

Well, we had it all planned out. We needed to get our snow tires off, so we picked a weekend and headed to Wenatchee (where we store our tires). Only it snowed! So instead of chancing the pass with regular tires, we opted to bring the regular tires back with us and get them changed on this side of the mountains. The roads actually weren't bad, but I am glad we did what we did just for peace of mind.

Here is something neat we saw on our journey. I thought is was a very creative use of uprooted trees

A note to those who can't make out the orange thing: the picture is of an eagle landing in its nest (the upside down uprooted tree) and there are baby eagles in the nest.

Welcoming committee

This was an exciting weekend. First, mom and dad came to visit on Saturday morning. We spent the day shopping and eating, and eating and eating ;). We were so full that evening that we didn't even finish the Doug made bowl of kettle corn that tasted incredible! But the excitement of the weekend wasn't the shopping and eating, it was the long awaited arrival home of MyLinh and her loving parents.

This morning we slipped out of church early and met up with mom, dad, Abbie and Justin at the airport. There we anxiously awaited their arrival, all of us not wanting to blink for fear of missing the first glimpse of the weary travelers. After a long wait and several moves to improve visualization, we finally saw them and were thrilled to see MyLinh's beautiful smile in person. Here are some pictures of our first meeting.
